Get Going

'Get Going' is the umbrella name for a range of initiatives, developed and delivered by the Isle of Man Business & Innovation Centre, with the aim of providing pre-incubation and incubation support for Isle of Man entrepreneurs. The programme is designed to provide a package of support from the early stages of business planning, through start-up and into the first few years of trading.

Get Going is working towards the following strategic objectives:

  • To encourage and promote innovation and entrepreneurship within a supported environment to create opportunities for business development and high growth.
  • To develop a cohesive service offering that will help increase the survival rates of new start up businesses.
  • To establish the Isle of Man Business & Innovation Centre as a recognised pre-Incubator facility that will offer a tailored programme of business support to suit each client entrepreneur/business.
  • To provide high quality business support services that will assist small and medium businesses in reaching their growth potential.
  • To develop a networking community of entrepreneurs that will allow for the interchange of ideas, communication and collaboration.
  • To ensure continuous improvement measures for the services provided and staff development are in place.
  • To obtain regular feedback from clients, helping to achieve exceptional service.

Get Going support can be provided to Isle of Man residents wishing to start their own business and those in established Isle of Man businesses through one or a combination of the services listed below.
Eligibility criteria may apply so please check for details.

  • Business mentoring.
  • Business start-up training.
  • Use of flexible office facilities, with desk, computer access, broadband and telephones, at the Isle of Man Business & Innovation Centre.
  • Access to a range of informational workshops and networking opportunities.
  • A variety of additional support and signposting to other business support services.

Get Going is able to offer flexible office facilities and business mentoring to existing businesses on a chargeable ‘pay as you go’ basis, subject to availability.
